wheretowatch.tv Exclusive: Zayn Malik is reportedly being lined up to appear on Saturday Night Live UK as part of the promotional campaign for his forthcoming album, due for release this April.
Industry sources suggest the former One Direction star is in advanced discussions to take to the stage on the new Sky TV series, which will mark the UK debut of the iconic late-night comedy format. If confirmed, the performance would coincide with the launch window for his new studio record — his first major project since his last critically praised release — and is expected to feature material from the upcoming album.
A source told wheretowatch.tv “Sky are pulling out all the stops to secure big names for the UK series, and ZAYN would be a massive coup for them”.
Zayn Malik will release his fifth studio album, Konnakol, on April 17, 2026.
While full details of the album are yet to be officially unveiled, it is understood that the project will showcase a continuation of Malik’s signature blend of alternative R&B and contemporary pop, with a new lead single expected in the coming weeks. The April release positions the record as one of the most high-profile pop launches of the spring.
Sky’s Saturday Night Live UK is a British adaptation of the long-running US format, bringing live comedy sketches, celebrity hosts and major musical performances to a UK audience. Produced in partnership with the team behind the original American series, the show will air live from London and feature a mix of established British comedy talent and rising stars. Each episode will follow the traditional SNL structure, with a guest host joined by a headline musical act.
