Toni and Cach: Love Island 2025 Winners Interview
Last night, Toni and Cach won the 2025 UK series of Love Island. Here's what they had to say about it...
How do you feel to have won?
Toni: Amazing! I feel like I'm representing a whole nation! I didn't expect to make it past week one.
Cach: It feels amazing. I was 100% authentically myself and luckily the public liked it, so I'm buzzing. I appreciate every moment on the show, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and I wouldn't have done it any other way.
Looking back, do you have any regrets?
Toni: Yes. I regret that recoupling.
Cach: I haven't got any regrets. Everything happens for a reason.
What do you think is next for you guys as a couple?
Toni: Hopefully just finding time to enjoy one another's company. Not letting everything else take over.
What is your favourite Love Island memory?
Cach: Probably the talent show. Only because when I was dancing, I felt like I was flying. It was like I escaped the Villa! It was iconic. Also the date with Toni on the Terrace, when I told her we were exclusive.
Toni: I loved coming back from the date with Harrison, because it was a redemption era for me. And the welcoming I received back from the other Islanders.
Do you feel like you have both learned about yourself?
Toni: The way that I handled the Harrison situation was the way I handled relationships in the past. But now I know it's not the way to do things.
Cach: For me it's just listen to your feelings and stop being stubborn. Pride and ego is an obstacle you can get over.
It's been very dramatic - what caused the divide with the girls?
Toni: I think that my friends and I were the ones to stand up for what's right and what’s wrong and we owned everything we said when others weren't doing the same. We didn't agree with a lot of people's behaviour and were always vocal about it.
Do you feel like you made good friendships?
Toni: Friends I will have for life. That was a big takeaway. The girls were my rock for the eight weeks.
Cach: Casa Boys for the win! The boys were probably some of the nicest guys I have ever met in my life. Lifelong friends. I need to go to Barnsley to see my boy Ty.
How would you both describe the experience in a few words?
Toni: Mind boggling. Treacherous.
Cach: Emotional rollercoaster. Testing.
What will you spend the money on?
Toni: I need to pay off my student loans. I want to invest it. I don't want to go on some crazy shopping spree. Maybe some bingo, I do live in Vegas after all!
Cach: Cost of living crisis, I'll save it!
SHAKIRA & HARRY EXIT Q&A
How do you feel to have come second on the show?
Shakira: I sort of ruled it out. I have gone with my heart and what I wanted to do, so I really didn't think that being in the final would be on the cards. It's a nice bonus. Amy Hart said yesterday if I was playing a game it was a really bad one!
Harry: It is an incredible feeling. It's surreal. I definitely didn't think I would make it this far. I'm so grateful for the whole experience and of course finding this wonderful woman along the way.
It's been a rollercoaster for you both - did you think you would end up back together?
Shakira: It was in my dolly daydreams but I didn't think it would be on the cards.
Harry: It didn't think it was ever reciprocated how I felt. I always wanted it but I just had to bury my emotions and feelings for Shakira because I didn't think there was any going back. Shakira: It was tough because I wanted him so badly but it was a constant head over heart battle but if this has taught me anything, it's that I lose in that situation when I let my pride and ego win. Maybe being stubborn doesn't work so well for me!
Do you think you have any regrets?
Shakira: I think I always did the right thing in situations with Harry. I don't regret anything other than not having as much time together as everyone else.
Harry: I definitely regret some of the ways I handled a lot of situations. I think I have learned from them. The main thing was not following my heart when I knew I should have. And not having more time together as a couple.
Now that you are out, what is next for you as a couple?
Harry: We have spoken briefly about what's next but we only recoupled in the last ten days so I think we are both living every day one day at a time.
Shakira: We are probably more set back than someone meeting fresh as we have had a lot of rebuilding to do before we even think about that.
What's your favourite memory?
Shakira: My core memory is when we all jumped in the pool on the last night. It was like something out of a movie. It will stay with me forever. Like magic.
Harry: I think the second day when Shakira picked me out of the three boys. Looking back, I didn't feel that at the time as we'd only spoken for 20 minutes that day and the other boys were pulling her all day for chats. I knew I was in for trouble after that.
Do you feel like you have learned anything about yourself?
Shakira: Yes. The biggest takeaway for me is that when you are trying to please everyone else in doing what everyone else thinks is right, you need to follow your own heart. I wanted Harry and that was the right thing to do… Even if everybody else disagrees!
Harry: I think for me I've learned a lot about communication and how that needs to improve. I think it has over the past eight weeks. I've always done what I wanted to do and gone about a lot of it in the wrong way, but I like to think I got a lot better at it. And to wear my heart on my sleeve. My natural instinct is to bottle things and not talk about them. It really pays to say things.
Some of the girls had disagreements - why do you think that was?
Shakira: What it stems from is on day one or day two I was put in a position where I had to graft and so was deemed as a threat. From then on, I was treated differently. So then I found a friendship with Toni and we sort of flocked together. When you are a threat to someone's relationship you are not going to be the best of pals.
Have you made good friends?
Shakira: The best romance of the series for me is Toni and Yas. Absolute weapons. I love those girls to bits. They will be bridesmaids at my wedding and godmothers of my children. I couldn't have done a day without them.
Harry: I have a friend for life in Dejon. My experience would have been very different without him being in there with me. There are three or four of the boys I can rely on in the outside world.
How would you describe the experience in a few words?
Harry: Five years of life in eight weeks!
Shakira: Absolutely topsy turvy in a weird and wonderful way.
Would you recommend it to a friend?
Harry: 100%. You learn so much about yourself. From my personal experience it's been the ride of a lifetime. I have learned so much about myself.
YASMIN & JAMIE EXIT Q&A
How does it feel to have finished in third place?
Yas: It feels completely surreal and it has made everything that happened in the Villa worth it, because it's all been for something. I wish I had taken more of it in because I feel like I’ve blinked and it’s all over.
Jamie: Honestly it's a really nice feeling. It's nice to know that there was public support for us and I'm just glad we were with the people we were with. Obviously me going in with three Casa boys, we were close the entire time and to experience that together was fantastic.
Jamie, are you surprised that you lasted that long as a Casa boy?
Jamie: The fact there were three of us [in the final] was quite crazy. You don't ever see that.
Looking back, do you have any regrets?
Jamie: Nothing.
Yas: I have no regrets. I stood by everything I said and did. I think that it obviously entertained the nation, so I'm happy!
What's next for you as a couple?
Yas: Hopefully the usual outside world stuff. All the things we couldn't do in the Villa. Not paddle boarding. Cute date nights.
Jamie: Meeting each other’s friends and family and having fun together.
Yas: I want to go shopping with his credit card… Joking!
What's your favourite memory?
Jamie: Jumping in the pool! Honestly it was like a rom com.
Yas: I felt alive at that moment.
Do you feel you learned a lot about yourselves?
Yas: Yes, I learned I am quite an emotionally balanced person. There were ups, downs and chaos but I surprised myself with how resilient I was.
Jamie: I learned that it is very difficult to be vulnerable and sometimes you can be quite confused. But just to take your time, take a step back and look at things from a different perspective. Things can be scary but you just need to know if you are doing it how you would always do it, you are doing it right.
Some of the girls had disagreements - why do you think that was?
Yas: I think it was just a difference of character. You're in a Villa with people you wouldn't necessarily be the best of friends with so naturally disagreements happen because of differences of opinion. But that's OK, it happens.
Did you make good friendships?
Yas: I never thought I would leave with actual friendships. But I have definitely left with solid people around me.
Jamie: I made great friends. Especially towards the end, the boys started to gel so well. I was obviously close with the Casa boys but the main Villa boys were great guys too.
How do you describe the experience in a few words?
Yas: One word… Iconic.
Jamie: Intense… Wild wild West.
Would you recommend the show to a friend?
Yas: I would recommend them to go on the show if they felt like they had something to bring to it. If you're just taking a back seat and treating it like an all inclusive, I would say no.
