Suede to perform exclusive BBC Radio 2 Sofa Session tonight

Britpop icons Suede will treat fans to an exclusive live Sofa Session on The Jo Whiley Show tonight on BBC Radio 2, ahead of the release of their highly anticipated 10th studio album, Antidepressants.
The special performance comes as the band prepares for their upcoming appearance at Radio 2 in the Park this September in Chelmsford. Tonight's session will feature a mix of new material from Antidepressants, a surprise cover, and a beloved classic from their back catalogue.
Led by frontman Brett Anderson, Suede rose to prominence in the early 1990s as one of the most influential bands of the Britpop era. Their self-titled debut won the Mercury Prize in 1993 and catapulted them to critical and commercial success. Known for their distinctive glam-influenced sound and poetic lyrics, the band have consistently evolved over the years while maintaining a devoted fanbase.
With a career spanning over three decades, Suede have delivered multiple Top 10 albums and singles, including hits like “Animal Nitrate,” “Trash,” and “Beautiful Ones.” Their last album, Autofiction, released in 2022, was widely praised for its raw energy and emotional depth.
Tonight’s live session offers listeners a first taste of what to expect from Antidepressants, set to drop later this year.
