Sky Sports News revamps schedule for biggest ever Premier League season
Sky Sports confirms coverage for biggest ever Premier League season
Sky Sports is promising football fans a season like no other as it kicks off a landmark partnership with the Premier League. From this season, the broadcaster will air a record-breaking minimum of 215 live matches — up from 128 — including every 2pm Sunday kick-off for the first time in UK television history.
The expansion means more live football in one place than ever before, and when fixture reshuffles create four or more Sunday games in a single match week, Super Sunday will be “supersized”. Fans can watch them individually or through Multiview — a brand-new feature across Sky TV, NOW, and the Sky Sports app. Multiview dynamically hops between stadiums, showing every goal and big moment with dedicated commentary, halftime analysis, and instant switching between games.
When the action wraps, a new post-match show, Super Sunday: Extra Time, hosted by Jamie Carragher, will break down all the day’s drama. On the biggest Sundays, the one-hour analysis programme will air at 7:30pm after the main 4:30pm fixture.
New Faces, Same Heavyweight Punditry
Mark Chapman joins the Sky Sports Premier League presenting team this season alongside David Jones and Kelly Cates. The star pundit roster — Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Roy Keane, Daniel Sturridge, Izzy Christiansen, Micah Richards, and Jamie Redknapp — remains intact, with guest analysts joining throughout the campaign.
Fans Take Centre Stage
Through a new partnership with Fanalysis, viewers will see supporter-driven player ratings, manager verdicts, and opinions integrated into live build-up, post-match shows, and Sky Sports News. Mobile-first highlights will also debut in the Sky Sports app, delivering vertical video updates instantly.
Revamped Sky Sports News Schedule
To match the expanded coverage, Sky Sports News has refreshed its daily lineup:
Mon–Sat, 7:00–10:00 – Sky Sports Breakfast with Hayley McQueen and Hannah Wilkes, delivering rolling sports news and interviews.
Mon–Fri, 10:00–12:00 – Sky Sports Fan Club with Tom White, bringing supporters directly into the conversation via interactive tech, including WhatsApp voice notes.
Mon–Fri, 17:00–19:00 – The Premier League Show with Jules Warren, Emma Paton, and Roman Kemp on Fridays, previewing the weekend ahead.
Sunday Mornings – Goals on Sunday (7:00–9:00) with Bela Shah, followed by a refreshed Sunday Supplement (9:00–11:00) hosted by Darmesh Sheth, featuring top football journalists.
A New Anthem and New Tech
This season’s Sky Sports Premier League coverage will debut a remixed version of G.O.A.T by Kasabian ft. Cristale, with exclusive new lyrics by frontman Serge. The track will premiere during the build-up to Liverpool v Bournemouth on Friday night.
Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers can expect new features, including live sport reminders, team pages, and “watch from start” or full replay options — with similar updates arriving soon for Sky Q. Later this year, Sky Sports+ streams will integrate directly into Sky Glass and Stream for easier access and Playlist saving.
The Premier League Home Until 2029
Sky will remain the home of the Premier League until at least the end of the decade, delivering:
At least 215 live matches per season
Exclusive rights to first-pick fixtures every week
All 2pm Sunday games live for the first time
Coverage of every final-day match live in one place
Most festive fixtures, including Boxing Day football
Jonathan Licht, Sky’s Chief Sports Officer, summed it up:
“This is a landmark season for Sky Sports and the Premier League. We’ll bring fans over 215 live matches, introduce innovations like Multiview, and create new shows like Extra Time. From kick-off to the final whistle in May, we’re making sure fans never miss a moment.”
