ITV is set to launch a bold new reality-quiz hybrid in 2026 as Danny Dyer and Emily Atack team up to host Nobody’s Fool, a high-stakes game of wit, perception, and deception. The series will air on ITV1 and ITVX.

Created through a collaboration between Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, and U.S. producers Nobody’s Hero, Nobody’s Fool promises a format that flips traditional intelligence contests on their head. Success won’t come down to who’s genuinely clever, but rather who can persuade others that they are.
Ten contestants from across the UK will move into a specially designed “Smart House,” where they’ll be thrown into a mix of challenges and daily quizzes. These tasks will measure different kinds of intelligence, building a collective prize pot along the way. The twist? Only the players will know their true results, leaving them to decide whether to bluff, boast, or downplay their abilities in front of their rivals.
As the competition unfolds, the group must decide who is contributing and who is dragging them down. Those judged to be the weakest will be eliminated one by one, leaving viewers to question whether the evicted contestants were truly underperforming — or just victims of misjudgment.
The show’s format deliberately toys with assumptions about intelligence, pushing contestants to manipulate impressions and stereotypes while keeping audiences second-guessing.
Danny Dyer shared his enthusiasm, saying: "this is a blinder of a game show and unlike anything I've seen before. Emily and I had a brilliant time making it and much like the audience at home will be, we were kept guessing right until the very end."
Emily Atack added: “It’s so exciting to be part of something this new and fresh. The chance to work with Danny again was a no brainer for me. We had such a laugh. Can’t wait for everyone to watch, it’s an absolute must see.”
ITV’s Sue Murphy, Director of Factual Entertainment, and Kate Teckman, Head of Development and Commissioning Editor, said: “Nobody’s Fool is an innovative reality/quiz crossover show that puts preconceptions, stereotypes and judgements to the test. Danny and Emily are the perfect pairing to host this game of surprise and prejudice, that will no doubt have audiences on the edge of their seats.”
Lifted Entertainment bosses Richard Cowles and Tom Gould added: “Nobody’s Fool takes a simple premise - How do you really determine how smart someone is? Trust your preconceptions and judgement or what they tell you? - and turns that into a high stakes reality game show with up to £100k up for grabs. There is drama at every turn but with Danny and Emily on hosting duties, the fun and laughter is also never far away.”
Meanwhile, Nobody’s Hero co-presidents Christopher Potts and Jonty Nash revealed the show’s tongue-in-cheek origins: “We’ve spent years trying to figure out which one of us is the least smart, so turning that daily argument into a big new format seemed like a good idea."
With its mix of strategy, bluffing, and personality clashes, Nobody’s Fool looks set to keep both contestants and audiences on edge when it launches next year.
