Thirteen strangers are invited to a lavish stately home to compete for a share of the fortune left behind by a fabulously glamorous benefactor—The Deceased—portrayed by Elizabeth Hurley.
But claiming the inheritance won’t come easily. With a devilish sense of humour, The Deceased has crafted a cunning game to ensure only the most deserving—or the most devious—can walk away with the prize.
Presiding over the terms of the will is her Executor and trusted legal advisor, Robert Rinder.
To unlock the inheritance, the group must work together to complete The Deceased’s final wishes—an elaborate series of challenging tasks that require intelligence, teamwork, and no small amount of strategy.
However, there's a tantalising twist: while the group earns the reward together, only one player can walk away with the winnings from each task. It’s up to that individual to convince the others they alone deserve the spoils.
The Inheritance is a high-stakes game of brains, charm, manipulation, and betrayal—where it’s not about who’s most deserving, but who can outwit, outplay, and outmaneuver the rest. Bold, ruthless, and irresistibly entertaining.
Elizabeth Hurley said: “It’s a thrill to be part of this clever game, playing The Deceased; it all takes place on her huge estate in the English countryside and she dresses to the nines in every scene. Tune in this Autumn to catch The Inheritance on Channel 4.”
Rob Rinder said: “This is a high-stakes strategy game served with a side of scheming and sabotage. As The Executor I enforce the rules, keep the chaos in check - more or less - and make sure our players are deserving of every glittering penny left by our dearly departed deceased, played by the iconic Elizabeth Hurley.”
The Inheritance will air on Channel 4 later this year.
