Kasabian and Cristale Team Up for New Premier League Anthem on Sky Sports
Sky Sports unveils its brand-new title track — a reimagined version of G.O.A.T by Kasabian, featuring rising star Cristale.
The countdown to the 2025/26 Premier League season has just turned up another notch, as Sky Sports unveils its brand-new title track — a reimagined version of G.O.A.T by Kasabian, featuring rising star Cristale.
Originally featured on Kasabian’s chart-topping album Happenings, the track has been rewritten and remixed by frontman Serge Pizzorno exclusively for Sky Sports. The result is an electrifying, high-energy anthem designed to usher in a new era of football coverage and rally fans across the country.
Kasabian are no strangers to providing the soundtrack to the beautiful game — their hit Club Foot was the opening theme for Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage back in the 2009/10 season. For Serge, a lifelong Leicester City supporter, football is personal. His club’s legendary 2015/16 title win still stands as one of the sport’s greatest underdog stories.
“It was electric teaming up with the incredibly talented Cristale on this track,” Serge said. “G.O.A.T is all about self-belief and chasing your dreams with everything you’ve got. We’re proud of what this song stands for. This one’s for everyone out there reaching for more, on and off the pitch.”
Gary Hughes, Sky Sports’ Director of Football, echoed the excitement:
“Music has been part of Sky’s football DNA since day one. It sets the tone, it welcomes fans in. Our history with Kasabian goes way back, and Club Foot remains one of the most recognisable themes we’ve ever used. Bringing them back for what we think will be our biggest Premier League season yet just felt right.”
Fans will get their first taste of the new anthem on August 15 during Sky’s build-up to the opening match of the season — reigning champions Liverpool hosting Bournemouth at Anfield.
The broadcast will also mark the start of Sky Sports’ landmark four-year partnership with the Premier League, guaranteeing at least 215 live games each season — 80% of all televised matches. The deal promises expanded “Super Sundays,” more in-depth analysis, and cutting-edge broadcast innovations for an even more immersive viewing experience.
The new single, G.O.A.T ft. Cristale, drops on Spotify at midnight on Thursday, August 14, giving fans a chance to stream it ahead of the season opener.
