HBO Max UK & Ireland has unveiled a major expansion of its exclusive content slate, confirming a wide-ranging mix of originals, documentaries, returning hits and blockbuster films set to stream from March 26.
The platform will debut an impressive collection of exclusive unscripted programming, including HBO Original documentaries Mel Brooks: The 99 Year Old Man!, Murder in Glitterball City, and the Oscar®-nominated Armed Only With a Camera: The Life and Death of Brent Renaud. Late-night series Neighbors and the Emmy®-winning Max Original Conan O’Brien Must Go (Seasons 1 and 2) will also stream exclusively.
Subscribers will also gain immediate access to the full run of brand-new documentary series Boom Box: Beats and Betrayal at launch.
International HBO programming will further strengthen the offering, with France’s The Seduction, Mexico’s Like Water For Chocolate (Seasons 1 and 2), and Italy’s Portobello all available exclusively on the platform.
The service will house a vast collection of iconic boxsets, including HBO Originals Game of Thrones, Sex and the City, The Sopranos, The Wire, Girls, True Blood, Big Little Lies, Boardwalk Empire, Veep and Entourage. Warner Bros. Television favourites Friends and The Big Bang Theory will also be available in full.
New and returning scripted titles will roll out in line with US transmission, including upcoming HBO Originals DTF St. Louis, Rooster, and the third and final season of The Comeback. The full boxset of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will also be available, alongside returning hits Euphoria, The White Lotus, The Last of Us and House of the Dragon. Previously confirmed, The Pitt Seasons 1 and 2 will stream exclusively on HBO Max in the UK and Ireland.
On the film side, the catalogue will feature major releases including Superman, One Battle After Another and A Minecraft Movie. Fans can also stream The Lord of the Rings and The Conjuring collections, with the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts film series housed exclusively on the service.
