The Soap won five out of six categories, wiping the floor with the competition.
In the Best Character character, Debbie Webster - played by Sue Devaney - won by a landslide74%. The character fought off stiff competition from EastEnders icon Cindy Beale, Emmerdale’s Joe Tate and Warren Fox from Hollyoaks.
The soap also won the Best Couple Award for Lisa and Carla. It comes at a big moment for the pair, who will feature one of Corrie’s biggest storylines this year. Carla Connor and DS Lisa Swain are set to marry on April 23, 2026, after overcoming significant drama, including the return of Lisa’s “deceased” wife, Becky. Their relationship has survived multiple hurdles, with the couple now focused on their future, despite upcoming chaotic storylines involving a surprise baby and a murder mystery.
In a similar fashion, Theo scopped the Best Villain Award. Theo is also at the centre of a huge Coronation Street storyline which reaches its climax later this year. Theo and Todd recently ended their relationship, but the couple got back together earlier this week, much to the dismay of Todd’s boss George Shuttleworth. Upcoming spoilers have shown that Theo will surprise Todd with a wedding ceremony after ‘forgetting’ to cancel their previously planned nuptials.

Coronation Street’s Catherine Tyldesley has teased a dark future for her character Eva Price, who’ll soon find out the truth behind her stepson Will Driscoll being abused by Megan Walsh. The Driscoll family—Ben, his mother Maggie, and his sons—arrived on Coronation Street in late 2025 as part of a dramatic, high-stakes storyline. Partnering with returning character Eva Price (who is portrayed by Catherine Tyldesley), the blended family arrived with a “suitcase full of secrets” and we haven’t seen all of them yet.
Corrie also shares the Best Storyline award with Emmerdale, for the smash-hit Corriedale special. In an historic event, two worlds collided as the residents of Emmerdale and Weatherfield were brought together by a catastrophic, life-changing encounter which had repercussions for weeks to come.
