AMC+ has locked in a premiere date for its upcoming action-thriller series Kill Jackie, starring and executive produced by Oscar winner Catherine Zeta-Jones (Wednesday, Chicago). The adrenaline-fueled series is set to debut on Friday, October 2, with new episodes dropping weekly on the platform and Prime Video.
Adapted from The Price You Pay, the bestselling novel by Nick Harkaway (writing under the pseudonym Aidan Truhen), the series follows Jackie Price (Zeta-Jones). For the past two decades, Jackie has enjoyed a life of high-end luxury as a globe-trotting fine art dealer, carefully keeping her head down after fleeing a high-risk past as an international drug smuggler.
Her peaceful routine shatters when she learns that “The Seven Demons”—an elite squad of the world’s most ruthless hitmen—have been contracted to eliminate her. Suspecting an old enemy is pulling the strings, Jackie reactivates her deadly survival instincts and launches a preemptive strike to hunt down the assassins one by one. However, as she fights her way through the hit squad, she discovers that her own buried past poses an even greater threat than the killers on her tail.
