Best TV Tonight: Destination X

Destination X starts tonight at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer. Think The Traitors meets Race Across The World and you'll get the gist.
Rob Brydon hosts as 13 hand-picked contestants climb aboard the X-bus with one deceptively simple mission: figure out where in the world they are. With the bus’s windows blacked out, the players must rely on clues, instincts, and each other to determine their location. At the end of every leg, they mark an X on the map—those who guess closest stay in the game, while the one furthest off is sent home. In the end, one player will claim a £100,000 prize.
Across ten episodes, the adventure twists and turns through Europe like a living board game. Each leg presents epic challenges and hidden clues—but also red herrings designed to mislead even the most perceptive. Every step tests not just geography, but psychology, strategy, and nerve.
In the premiere episode, the players are immediately thrown into confusion upon arrival at a German airport—if that’s even where they truly are. As they size up the competition, they may be overlooking crucial hints that could help them later.
Later, at a mysterious second location, a box of cryptic clues forces two players into a tough decision before they mark their spot on the map. With references to five different countries in play and everyone interpreting the clues in their own way, will anyone crack the code? And will alliances form—or will deception rule the day?
