The beloved baking competition, The Great British Bake Off, is set to return to Channel 4 on Tuesday, 2 September 2025.
Fans can mark their calendars for the start of ten exciting weeks in the iconic tent. Episodes are scheduled to air weekly, each running a generous 90 minutes—plenty of time for those challenging Signature, Technical, and Showstopper rounds.
Duration & Themes: Bread, Cakes, Pastries + New Twists
The 2025 series will span ten weeks, offering a delicious mix of familiar and fresh themes. Returning favourites include bread, cakes, and pastries. But viewers can also look forward to sin some brand-new themes—keeping both bakers and audiences on their toes with unexpected creative challenges.
Channel 4 say "As the ovens fire up and a new batch of bakers steps into the iconic tent to face Paul and Prue, audiences can expect all the classic ingredients — warmth, humour, creativity, and just the right amount of competition”.
Hosts and Judges: Trusted Faces at the Table
Hosting duties will once again be handled by the dynamic duo Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond, providing warmth, humour, and pep talks throughout the series.
Standing in judgment are the familiar voices of Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, both returning to bring their expert critiques and iconic judging presence back to the tent.
Filming Location: The Tent at Welford Park, Berkshire
Once again, the delightful white tent will be pitched in the picturesque grounds of Welford Park in Berkshire—surrounded by manicured lawns, trees, and the Grade-I listed house and church that have become synonymous with the Bake Off experience.
Episode Runtime: 90 Minutes of Baking Drama
Each episode this autumn will air for a full 90 minutes, giving bakers ample time to finesse their creations and viewers time to savour each mix, bake, and dramatic reveal.
Extra Slice Returns: Jo Brand & Tom Allen Reunited
Following the main show each week is the beloved after-show, Bake Off: An Extra Slice, hosted by Jo Brand, with Tom Allen returning as the resident funny-man and bake-reviewer. Expect plenty of laughs, chat, and cheeky critiques as the bakers' highs and lows get unpacked in this weekly staple.
