Bake Off 2025 contestants revealed
Who are the bakers competing in the 2025 series of The Great British Bake Off when it returns on 2 September to Channel 4?
The white tent is being dusted off and the mixers are at the ready — The Great British Bake Off is back on Channel 4 from Tuesday 2 September at 8pm. Twelve brand-new contestants are stepping up to the gingham-covered benches, each bringing their own flair, stories, and baking passions.
Meet the Bake Off cast of 2025:
Aaron, 38, London
A senior systems architect with a sweet tooth, Aaron loves balancing the elegance of French patisserie with bold Caribbean flavours. Expect vibrant sponges, sharp citrus curds, and delicately layered desserts.
Hassan, 40, South Yorkshire
As an analytical chemist, Hassan approaches baking with scientific precision. His creations often weave in nods to his Pakistani heritage, bringing aromatic spices and traditional sweets into the mix.
Iain, 29, Belfast
By day he’s a software engineer, by night a baker who experiments with fermented fruits and sourdough. A former powerlifter, Iain brings strength and determination into the tent alongside his rustic, hearty loaves.
Jasmine, 23, London
A medical student with baking running through her family history, Jasmine is known for whipping up big batches for gatherings. She combines homely comfort with a student’s energy and creativity.
Jessika, 32, London
Jessika is a service designer and rollerskating drag king who thrives on bold self-expression. Their bakes reflect that same energy, mixing playful ideas with unexpected flavour combinations like mango caramel and cardamom.
Leighton, 59, Surrey
With roots in Wales and a love of American classics, Leighton is all about bridging traditions. From Welsh cakes to sponges hiding zesty key lime pie centres, his work is nostalgic but full of surprises.
Lesley, 59, Kent
A hairdresser with fond memories of baking alongside her Nanny Mable and Auntie Joan, Lesley updates family favourites with playful presentation. Her cakes are bright, fun, and packed with personality.
Nadia, 41, Liverpool
Chatty and warm, Nadia’s baking style reflects her Indian and Italian background. She blends soul food comfort with aromatic spices and Mediterranean flair, creating vibrant showstoppers.
Nataliia, 32, East Yorkshire
Originally from Ukraine, Nataliia keeps her family traditions alive in every bake. She leans on flavours like honey, poppy seeds, nutmeg, and cinnamon to create rich, evocative bakes that tell her story.
Pui Man, 51, Essex
A bridal designer who rediscovered baking during lockdown, Pui Man loves to make bold, artistic creations. Her cakes are stylish, full of colour, and as beautifully put together as her gowns.
Toby, 29, Warwickshire
A business development executive and Brazilian jiu-jitsu enthusiast, Toby combines a fitness mindset with a love of indulgence. He often recreates classics like strawberry cheesecake with a balanced twist.
Tom, 31, London
A creative entrepreneur who treats baking as storytelling, Tom’s work is about personal connection as much as flavour. From scones to Danish-style flapjacks, his bakes are crafted with care and character.
What to Expect
Returning hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will once again guide the bakers through the weekly challenges, while judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith stand ready with their signature mix of encouragement and tough love.
As ever, the bakers will face the three pillars of competition: the Signature challenge to show off their style, the Technical to test their skill, and the Showstopper to prove they can dazzle under pressure.
Filmed at the iconic Welford Park in Berkshire, the new season promises laughter, tears, and plenty of bakes that will make us all want to preheat the oven.
